Mosaic has innumerable possibilities of expression.
Toffolo offers together with Francesco and his partner Sabrina,
both Maestro d’Arte and Maestro Mosaicista, one week lasting workshops in
Spilimbergo, a picturesque village at the foot of the ‘Prealpi’ in the region of
Friuli Venezia Giulia in the north-east of Italy. These classes in which you
acquire all the theoretical and practical aspects of the ancient art of mosaic
working are ideal for beginners as well as for professionals.
Guided visits to the ‘Basilica di Aquileia’ (Aquileia is one of the largest
and wealthiest cities of the Early Roman Empire and it constitutes the greatest
archaeological reserve of its kind. The patriarchal basilica, an outstanding
building has an exceptional mosaic pavement), to other museums and a tour to
the world famous ‘Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli’ are naturally part of this
creative week.
This mountainous area with natural mountain lakes is ideal for active persons,
but also culturally interested people will certainly enjoy this week.
